I’ve spent the past 2 days at the Traffic and Conversion summit and I am so excited to share with you some key insights I picked up today. If you haven’t ever attended the Traffic and Conversion Summit you’ll want to put it in your sights for next year. There is so much to learn and the energy is through the roof. I can’t bring you the energy of the summit, but I can share with you some of what I learned today on day 2 of the 2018 Traffic and Conversion Summit.

Today was another tremendous day at the Traffic & Conversion Summit in San Diego. I recorded a quick video with some of my key insights from Day 2.

Outline of This Episode

  • [1:42] My key insights from day 2
  • [4:23] Facebook lead ads rock
  • [12:56] Using Facebook Live to engage
  • [19:23] The marketer of the future

Why Facebook Lead ads rock

Are you using Facebook lead ads? We’re all using Facebook ads to target people in our niche, but Facebook lead ads take away the step of exiting the Facebook App to go to a landing page and having the customer enter in their information. This powerful tool takes away the extra step where the consumer often hesitates and hits the back button. By taking away the friction of the landing page you end up with 10X more leads with the same spend. By using a Lead ad there is an 80% cost reduction per lead. What’s more is that the customer’s information is already there on Facebook, they just have to click yes. Since you get their mobile phone number with a lead ad then you can text them. By texting the new customer it is easier to follow up with via InfusionSoft or whatever you use with a more personal conversation.

Facebook live is the future

If you aren’t already doing Facebook Lives you need to be. Live video is the wave of the future. It is being produced more and more. 70% of all video uploaded to Facebook is live. Not only does Facebook push live content more, it creates engagement. You don’t need to worry about professionalism during a Facebook Live since the ultimate goal is authenticity. When you provide excellent content and engage with your audience you help create your brand by creating community. Learn how to tell interesting stories, share new ideas, develop relationships and teach what you know. Listen to hear why you should be using Facebook Live to tell your company’s story.

Are you the future of digital marketing?

Digital marketing is changing at an astounding rate. The marketer of the future needs to be more well-rounded and ready to learn. A true digital marketer needs to have a combination of sales, marketing, and service. As the future of digital marketing, you need to understand strategy, statistics, programming, user analytics, behavior psychology, and storytelling. There is no way you can master all of these things but you do need to be great in 2 of these areas. Since you can’t be an expert in every area you’ll need to hire all kinds of people. To develop the marketing team of the future you will need to be able to educate your team along the way. What are you doing to develop your marketing skills?

Are you podcasting yet?

Podcasting is not only a low friction method of creating content, but it is also the lowest friction form of consuming content. People love to listen to podcasts while driving, exercising, even while rocking their babies! Podcasts are a great way to reach your audience without having to do too much on your end. You can even repurpose webinars and other live broadcasts into podcasting material. If you haven’t started podcasting yet then what are you waiting for?
