What’s up, guys, I hope you’re doing awesome. I’m shooting some videos here at my home office with my videographer. And I want to shoot this quick video on the concept of how to show up great on video, right? A lot of times I get everyone knows video is very compelling, right? If a picture’s worth 1000 words, that a video is worth a million. Right? So the question though is, if you know that video is powerful, oftentimes, you’re not, you’re not really confident enough to step up and shoot the video, you’re scared, you’re not going to look right, you’re not going to sound right, it’s not going to be compelling. I just want to give you four tips to make sure that every time you show up on camera, you’re your best self. So stick with me here I’m going to unpack four simple tips that I follow every time I shoot a video that helps me be natural, that helps me be compelling and then ideally helps my videos resonate at the highest level possible. So the first thing you want to do when you shoot videos every time whether it’s a face cam video, whether it’s you on your webcam, or something Somebody’s shooting you from afar, like on a on a professional camera, the first thing you want to do is make sure you’re speaking to one particular person. Right? The whole point of the video isn’t to look good. It isn’t really even to sound good. It’s to resonate. And so if you want to resonate, you need to speak to one particular person. So get in your mind before you shoot your video, who you’re talking to. Right? My Talking to Alan hills Burg right now is going to improve your video skills. And so when you do that, your words come out more natural, you feel more comfortable, you’ll feel more confident. The second thing you want to do is you want to make sure you get into a mental state, right? You can’t just show up on video. And Hi, this is Josh and I like to help digital marketing agencies generate better results, right? You want to make sure that your energy is up, right. It’s your energy that’s infectious. And so make sure before you press record, you amp your energy just a little bit because they’ll notice it in the inflection in your voice. They’ll notice it in kind of how you come across on video. So that’s that’s tip number two. The third tip is use a framework, right? Anything is hard in the absence of a framework. And a framework just makes it easy to say, Okay, these are the things that I’m going to cover on this particular video. And so a framework that I found really, really effective is what I call the video flow framework. And it’s just how you introduce the video, kind of how you transition, and then how you close that particular video. And if you’d like to get a copy of that framework, and I’ll kind of explain it to you to make your video creation significantly easier type video framework and comments. I’ll get you a copy of the PDF. It’s simple one page document that you can just kind of look at every time you shoot a video. And the fourth tip, the fourth thing you want to do to make your videos as effective as possible is to make sure you’ve got a call to action, right. shooting videos powerful, right? You want to shoot videos, you want to come on Facebook, you want to come on Instagram, you want to share the good word. But the fact is, if you don’t have a call to action, it’s not going to have the impact that you want. And so your call to action could be post a comment, right, your call to action can be tagged somebody that could benefit from this, your call to action could be, you know, comment below in order for me to send you something, or you could send them off to a link where they could learn more. So make sure that you’ve got a call to action at the end of all of the videos that you shoot. So speak to one particular person, get that down into your mind before you shoot on amp your energy right really get your energy up before you shoot, follow a framework and have a call to action. My call to action for this particular video is if you like the video framework that can help guide you through the process guide you through the flow of any video that you want to shoot. To simplify it significantly. Just type in the comments video flow and I’ll get you the video flow framework. Go out shoot some great video be compelling, and position yourself as the go to expert in your space. Thanks for joining me on this video. I’ll talk to you soon
